Trouble opening pdfs

Hi, when i send pdf's via email the recipient receives the following message when opening the file..

Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open '- 11-18-2020.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

How can i try to fix this issue?

Regards

Justin

Please look at the correct answer marked in a similar discussion https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/adobe-acrobat-reader-dc-could-not-open-because-it-is-either-not-a-supported-file-type-or-because-the/td-p/8446771?page=1

Also, you may consider trying the steps suggested in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-error-1015-11001-update.html
Note: Steps are same for new version of Acrobat/Reader DC

Contact your email service provider and ask them to fix the encoding for PDF files... You can also zip up the file before sending it.
