Trying to download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, on my Mac.

Click "Install Now"

It downloads the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Installer.

Double click on this.

Select "Open" on the install pop up.

Then i get a message:

"Install Adobe Acrobat Reader wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this:

user name - picks up a default value

Password -   .............."

I have forgotten this password. It doesnt give any recovery option either. Also this user name and password, seems to be different from the one I use to sign into adobe.com

Please help !

    Correct answer Test Screen Name

This is normal, everyone gets it. There is no password in or needed to install Acrobat Reader.

BUT you need a password to install ANYTHING on your Mac - the message you get is from Mac. You would normally give your Mac password, the one you chose when you first switched it on.
