Trying to print a document with areas to fill in and it won't let me

Hello.  I'm not sure how to word this technically correct.  I am trying to print a document that has areas on it to be filled in.  With just regular Adobe, I used to could print this document out without filling it out on my computer/in Adobe just fine.  Print it, fill it out with pen.  Adobe DC won't let me do that.  It tells me I have to fill out the blanks to print.  I don't know if it's the program or the document.  I did check the settings of the document and it isn't protected or anything.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  It's long, with corresponding documentation & is just something that's easier for me to do by hand then on the computer.  Thank you.

Are you printing the file using a button that's on the file itself, or by using the File - Print command?

If the former, it's likely that there's a script associated with the button that prevents it from being printed if it's not fully filled-in, but you should still be able to use the latter to do so.
