Hello.

I just got a new surface laptop and the pdf thumbnail preview in windows explorer option in the preferences ("General")  section is greyed out. I am unable to activate the option. I've tried every solution out there. Noe worked.

Can I have some guidance?

Thanks

Carlos.

Hello,

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 24.005.20421 Optional update, Feb 24, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check. For more information, see this: https://adobe.ly/3XjRzD5;

If the issue persists with the latest version, please remove the installed app using the Acrobat Cleaner tool, restart the machine, and install Acrobat Reader. You can also refer to this article for more information: https://adobe.ly/3D9CJZ9

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
