Unable to change Text Size in Fillable Lines

Hey good afternoon,

The fillable text portion creates text that is too large and it makes it unable to properly read what is written. Whenever I go to change the text through the edit menu it only changes the text around it and warps the text even worse. 

I am just trying to change the text size of the fillable portions and I am having a complete headache doing so. This is extremely frustrating and my computer has already heard a few curses underneath my breath. I cannot for the life of me understand how something so simple must be so complicated.
