Unable to open Acrobat - Mac Mojave

Hi Everyone,

 

I have been unable to open the acrobat app, nor any documents with the app, for the past two days.  Nothing has changed in terms of updates on my mac, nor settings, it just suddenly stopped working.  I am using OS Version 10.14.6.

 

The message I get is "Adobe Acrobat cannot be opened because of a problem."   It continues to say that I should check with the developer if it works with this version of mac.

 

Does anyone have any advice I can try to sort this out?

I see the problem. Please go to the Applications folder and find the Acrobat 2017 folder (or similar). In it find the Adobe Acrobat app.  Use Get Info (click on it once, use Command+I).  Now, in the General info you should see entries like Kind, size, where, created... eventually VERSION. Something like 16.234.34343 Please let us know what you see.

Which version of Acrobat?

 

Acrobat X latest version is 10.1.16

Acrobat XI latest version is 11.0.23
