Unable to open PDF Files

I am running the MAC OS beta. I cannot open or scan PDF files.

Please help us understanding what happens when you are trying to open the file or what is the error message comes up?

Are you using Adobe Reader to view the PDF files or is it Preview (default pdf viewer of mac)?
