Unable to open PDF received in email

Since yesterday Wednesday 6th October 2021 I am now unable to open email PDF attachments.

I use EM Client and my provider is Orcon.net.nz  I can open older files received in the same format from the same sender, no problem, but since trying to open anything I received via email from yesterday, I get the following message: "Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open Invoice 1234 because it is either not a supported file type or because this file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." I have received these invoices for years from the same provider, so I am reluctant to accept that all of a sudden they are doing things differently. I also have saved these files, and tried to reopen in a web browser, and receive errors there as well.

Thanking you.,

Liz
