Unable to play audio in Acrobat Reader

Hi there, 

I have been using Acrobat Reader to playback audio within pdf files for the past 6 months. However one day it just would not work anymore. Whenever I click on the audio button embedded within the PDF, nothing happens. No sound, no hints. 

I have checked for Acrobat Reader updates and Flash Player versions, but all are already the latest version as of today. 

I have tested the same PDF files in other of my laptops and it works. Just would not work in my desktop. 

Need your kind assistance on this issue.
