Question

Unable to Print, please for the love of god can someone help me?

I have been unable to print from the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for a about a year now and I am in class. I can print from Chrome to my printer PDFs, but I can't print the same freaking PDF from Adobe. I get 2 errors. "The document could not be printed." "There was no pages selected." I may have missed it on the google or even this community chat, but I see no reference to this issue. I assume it is something simple, but why can't I print? I uninstalled and installed.

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

As you have mentioned that you are not able to print from Acrobat Reader DC and you have already tried to uninstall and reinstall the application. For printing related issues, please perform the steps given below:

Solution 1: Print as image.

1. Open the PDF file in Acrobat.

2. Choose File > Print.

3. Click Advanced at the bottom of the Print dialog box.

4. In the resulting Advanced Print Setup dialog box, select Print As Image and click OK.

Solution 2: Restore the Acrobat preferences files.

  1. Quit Acrobat.
  2. Drag the following files from the Users/[Username]/Library/Preferences folder to the Desktop:
    • Acrobat WebCapture Cookies
    • com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist or com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro_x86_9.0.plist
    • The Acrobat folder, which contains preferences for forms (MRUFormsList), collaboration (OfflineDocs), and color settings (AcrobatColor Settings.csf)
  3. Restart Acrobat

Let us know if you face any issues.

Thanks,

Harsh

Solution 1 didn't help. Solution 2 I could only find one of the files you mentioned [com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro_x86_9.0.plist] I removed it. Still a no go on printing.
