Question

Unable to save as PDF

When saving a Doc to PDF in any website, the  'saved as' PDF shows zero bytes in iMac.  When opening the 'saved' PDF, the following message is shown: "Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open '<filename>.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged."

I have never had this issue before until two days ago.  Have updated to current Adobe Reader DC.  Using Safari and OS Sierra 10.12.5.  However, there is no issue with saving a Word.doc as a PDF from saved word files in desktop or folders.   There is no issue with the MacBook when saving as PDF.  Would very much appreciate your help.  Thank you.

I am not sure what  you mean by saving a Doc to PDF in any website. Can you elaborate more?

Whilst reading a word.doc or a pdf in the website, I would select  "Save as" a PDF.

This has not worked only recently with Safari, but was working perfectly over all these years.

However, I have just been suggested to try a different web browser and this has worked, from the same website.
