Unable to save or print on mac

Hi,

I am using Adobe reader on my Mac.  My issue is that I have downloaded a protected pdf file which has digital signatures in it.  While the file opens in acrobat (with a password) & verifies the signature (I get a green tick), I am unable to either save the file without protection, nor I am able to take a print from inside adobe.  If I try to save the file as pdf without password using the mac preview, acrobat opens the file but does not verify the signature. 

Kindly advice.  I am using the latest version of Adobe acrobat reader.
