Unable to save PDF with content added to fields

I have created worksheets for my clients as a pdf with fillable fields for each section. Quite a few people are having issues with saving their changes. The document ends up reverting to the blank version. most are using a version of Actobat Reader. Just wondering if there is a solution or version that would be best for them to download. I"m happy to add the link into my online course.
