Unable to Uninstall or Update Adobe XI Reader

Received notice to update from Adobe XI Reader but when I attempt to update it ask for a user name and password. User Name and eMail were hardcoded but the admin password I put in does not work BUT when I log into adobe the password I put in works with the hardcoded user name and password. Attempted to uninstall and I recieved the same prompt with the same results. How do I get around the request for the admin password that apparently does not match my current account password to uninstall and install the latest version?
