Uninstalling Adobe from a new hard drive

My old hard drive crashed. I installed a new one. When I installed Windows 10 somehow Adobe Reader was in my Program files. But my pdf files don't recognize that it is there. I tried downloading Adobe reader but it gives me an error saying the latest version is already installed. I wanted to uninstall it but it is not on my Program list. I tried to delete it directly from Windows Explorer but it keeps asking for administrator permission. I've spent two days googling how to give permission, followed all the instructions and I still get the message that I need to give permission. How do I delete this file so I can install a clean version of Reader?

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are facing issue when trying to install reader on your windows 10 machine, is that correct?
