Univers font handling in Adobe Reader DC

I've run into a problem with Reader DC.  Our ERP system uses Jetform forms with column headings using the Univers font.  It seem that an update to DC (or DC itself)

can't interpret Univers in the forms anymore.  It substitutes some other wingding font.  Form is interpreted correctly using other viewers (ecopy etc.).  I'm now hearing of other users of our ERP system encountering the same problem, but the ERP vendor is unable/unwilling to act on our behalf.  I've found that changing the font to Jetform's courier solves the problem, but I'd like to avoid changing all the forms if possible.
