Unsharable file

I need help! How can I access a file i made un sharable.. I was asked to forward this file and instead of sharing it I made unshareable. Im trying to acees it but I keep getting a message that says file unable to open file. If anyone knows how I can open this file.. Please school me.. Thank you in advance Inez
