unwanted things on right side of screen

Useing Adobe Reader XI, Sometimes the right side of the screen is occupied by things like Export PDF, Create PDF, Edit PDF Send Files Store Files and I want to get rid of it because it reduces the usable area. Sometimes exiting the reader and restarting does the job but often it does not. I don't know waht to call this area (so searching for a solution here has not done any good) but I have ttried all of the options I can think of and nothing does the job. Any idea how to do it?

    I found a solution by accident and am replying by email because the reply in the message forum does not work (mousing over it shows a link javascript void(0); but clicking does nothing)

    Apparently my complaint was about what is called a tools panel which is different from the tool bar.

    In line with the tool bar is a word "Tools" and clicking on it will make the area I compained about appear or disapear, so the problem is solved. The forum instructions say to mark this solved, but today there is no solved to click on. There was one when I posted my problem and I will try reading this reply a few times to see if the solved button reapears. If anyone gets the solved button, please mark this thread solved.
