Question

Update/Change the author of my comments

Help! No one can seem to help me permanently update/change my login name for Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. I'm having issues with the author of my comments coming up under a different name.

Online chat support tried to walk me through but nothing seems to work. I've uninstalled and re-installed Adobe but that didn't fix the issue either. From what I can tell, this has to do with the fact that my login name is incorrect. How do I fix this? The instructions given don't work. I login with my email address and nowhere is there a different login name.

I've attached screen shots of what I'm referring to. Any advise, help anyone can offer is grately appreciated.

Thank you

Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to us. For changing the author name of your comments, please follow the below steps:

1. Go to Commenting Preferences by using keyboard shortcut Ctrl + K (win) or Command + K (mac) .

2. Uncheck the preference : "Always use Log-in for Author Name".

3. Now right click on any comment to sleect its properties. Go to the General tab and change the author name to the desired one. Check the box "Make Properties default". Click on Ok .

From now on, whatever annot of the same type you create will have your desired author name that you have set in Step 3. Hope that helps.

Thanks

The problem is with the last screenshot. You have to UNTICK that box.

Now right-click a comment and select Properties. Go to the General tab and change the Author name. Make sure to also tick the box that says "Make Properties Default".
Click OK, and any new comment you create (from that type) from now on will have your name as the Author by default.
