UPDATE FAILED

I have been trying to update acrobat reader DC and keep getting a message "update failed" without any error number or any other information.  The version i have is 2018.011.20036 and i do not know the version of the update but it's not happening.  Any help will be appreciated.  I am still using Windows 7 IE11 although i use Chrome.  Thought that may have been the problem so i went back and tried it in explorer and it still did not work.
