Update Failed Error 111100

I recently updated to Windows 11 and can no longer "combine files" in file explorer as I could in Windows 11. While checking for updates to see if that resolved the problem, I received Error 111100 - "An error occurred. Please check for updates again later." There is no recent information on what this error is or how to resolve it. Please help.

Error 111100 means - "Updater could not initialize a product for update"

Most likely when your Windows System was upgraded, Reader registration with the System got broken.

The easiest fix is to uninstall Reader and reinstall latest version from Adobe.com

Correction: "...in file explorer as I could in Windows 10."

++ adding on to the suggestion given above.

There's likely a chance that with the Windows upgrade, the installation of Reader was broken. Hence, it's not letting you install the update.

Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s file traces:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Download the Acrobat Reader installer from here:

Thanks,
