Updating Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Every time this tries to update on my Windows 8.1 machine, it says Update Failed.

Also when I try to save an open PDF file, it won't give me the option to Save As, so I'm thinking these failed updates are the culprit.

Not sure what to do, not very computer savvy 🙂

Thanks for reaching out to Acrobat community.

If you are unable to install the update through application itslef, then we'd suggest you to refer to this release note and install the latest patch manually: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

To address the second point, there are two things to keep in mind-

1- Save option would highlight only when you have made some changes to the document. 

2- If you have opened a pdf attachment then first you need "Save As" to save it. Then opened the saved document, consecutive changes would be saved using Ctrl+s command or "Save" option.
