Use Reader DC to open PDF in IE and Actrobat X everywhere else

I would like to open PDF documents in IE 11 using Acrobat Reader DC, and elsewhere on my system using Acrobat Standard X. In both DC and X, it says in the edit ->settings->internet that the default program to open PDF in browser is Acrobat 10.0, with no way of changing the setting. X lets me turn on and off the "Display PDF in browser" and if I turn that off I can not get any pdf to open in the browser, whether or not I disable the plugin in IE settings.  Please advise.
