Web Browser Don't Save Editable PDF's Data

When filling out the form and saving it in the browser the pdf is saved but when reopened, the data is gone. So I want something that forces browser to open the pdf with their installed pdf viewer program in OS rather than opening in web browser. In that case they can save the pdf in their computer directly.

To solve this issue we make automatically download the PDFs but this does not work if the user has set in the browser to open the PDF on it and not on the PDF viewer of the Operation System.

Please suggest me how can we solve the issue.

The issue is most likely with the browser. Most browsers now use their own PDF plugins, and they are usually sub-par, especially when it comes to form fields. What browser are you using?

Hello Dear,

Thank you for your effort to reply about this issue. It's primary on Google Chrome, which is the most used browser. Let's see if we find a solution for Chrome first before going to other browsers.

Question:

Is this possible to make a plugin that we request our user to install in their browser first. The plugin will take necessary step to open the pdf using pdf viewer of the operating system.

We can't help you with this issue. Ask your users to not open the file in the browser, but save it locally and then open it using Adobe Reader. Also, you should report any issues to the Chrome development team at Google.
