Weird Font Appearing Reader

Have a number of PDFs from a real estate company (accessed on their site) the suddenly appear with weird characters instead of the standard characters that had been there before.  Just started happening.  I subscribe to an Adobe online service that allows me to extract info from a PDF file into a Word Document.  That works fine and I get "English" in the Word doc.

I just tried to copy what it looks like and it copied the text correctly?  Is there an issue with the recent update and IE?  I using Win 7 and IE 11.0.48 with auto updates.

BTW, just tried same operation in Firefox and document displayed still looks the same with the weird fonts. ????

I also removed and re-installed Reader DC and installed latest available update and the situation remains the same.

I was able to capture what it looks like on the screen when I copied on the screen and pasted directly into a Word document.

    Hi Courtneyb,

Sorry for being late in answering your query.

Would it be possible if you can share the link you are downloading PDFs from?

Also, try exporting pdf online using this link: https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf

Have you tried exporting another pdf file?

You may visit the following threads which discuss the similar issue: Garbled Conversion to MS Word , I converted a PDF to word, why is the text messed up? (Export PDF)
