Question

When opening PDF, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC automatically starts Adobe Export PDF option then ends

On October 1, Adobe Acrobat Reader was automatically updated.  When I attempt to click a PDF file from the desktop, or explicitly open a PDF file, Acrobat Reader opens the file.  If you wait about 15-20 seconds, the program will start the Adobe Export PDF option for the file opened, then the program closes.  I've deleted Adobe Acrobat Reader DC several times.  It seems like removing the Acrobat Reader DC leaves entries in the C:\users\james\AppDta\Local\Temp folder, as well as entries in the C:\users\james\AppDta\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\DC folder.  Please help.

Hi jamesh79071180 ,

Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

We are unable to reproduce the issue. we would like to have some more information to debug the issue:

  • Environment/Platform/System information
  • what do you mean by deleting Acrobat Reader DC? do you mean uninstallation and installation?
  • If possible, share a video reproducing the problem.

You can directly write back to [Moderator: Personal information removed, try sending PM:How Do I Send Private Message  ] for the quick resolution.
