Question

Why Acrobat Reader does not open PDF when PS is running ?

I have a wierd issue with Adobe Photoshop CS6.  Whenever CS6 is open/running, all the PDF cannot open with Acrobat Reader DC.  In fact, I suspect Reader DC crashes when trying to open the PDF file whenever CS6 is active.

On the contrary, the files can be opened with Microsoft Edge (which I don't like to use).

If I close CS6, then the PDF files has no problem open up in Reader DC ?

That's how I know the PDF files are ok.

Any clue what's wrong ?

OS is Windows 10.

    H joshuaf,

Please post the crash report for Acrobat Reader here so that we can have a look at it.

See Photoshop Elements Editor Help | How to Find Crash Logs on Windows

There is no crash message displayed at all.

All I can see is that, with CS6 open, whenever I tried to open a PDF file, there is a windows pop flash and quickly disappear.

The Adobe reader does not open the PDF file at all.

I don't know if there is any crash report Adobe reader store on hard disk or not.
