Why am I getting an error when attempting to save PDF to network computer?

I am working on my laptop, running OS 10.11.6, and after opening or creating a PDF  form, I attempt to save it on my desktop (OS Mojave) by 'export to PDF.' I get a message "error while printing" and the document does not save.

If I try to use command 'move to', I get the error message "1035960117019_1035960117019.pdf couldn't be moved to "Medical Info" because either the former doesn't exist or the folder containing the latter doesn't exist"

I am baffled as to the cause and what to do to correct it and would appreciate any suggestions.

Correct answer Test Screen Name

It depends. If you say the problem is with saving a PDF file do you mean you have the PDF open in Preview and want to save? If so, yes Apple probably and definitely not Adobe.

Preview is made by Apple, not Adobe. It’s part of Mac OS. If you have problems with it you’ll need to ask them.

I was not sure the problem was with Preview. The only problem I have is when I am trying to save a .pdf file so I assumed it was with that. If it is with macOS, I will follow up with them.

Thanks.

In what app do you use “export to PDF”? And what app lets you use “move to”? I don’t recognise these as being functions in Acrobat Reader.

I apologize. I had difficulty logging back in and then I forgot to get back with you.

When I have the .pdf file open, it's in Preview. This gives options such as: Save, Duplicate, Rename, Move To, Export as PDF, etc. The error messages that I previously described occur when I attempt to save or move the .pdf file to my networked iMac.
