Why do Acrobat Pro DC changes to portfolio View and Sort settings fail to save?

2015.020.20042 release

I repeated change and save the following settings for a PDF Portfolio, but they do not stick when I reopen the PDF.

  • View > Portfolio > Details (reverts back to View > Portfolio > Layout)
  • Right-click in Details list > Sort by > Name (or Right-click in Details list > Portfolio Properties > Sort by: Name)

The saved settings never save. Very frustrating. Please fix or explain a workaround.

Just found a way to get the Details view to stick:

Edit > Preferences > Accessibility > Other Accessibility Options > Show Portfolios in Files mode

Now a new issue has arisen: A cover page referring to the need for Acrobat X has appeared. The View > Portfolio > Cover Sheet option does not allow me to turn it off!

Thanks so much, sandykam, this worked for me. Strangely enough, the cover sheet option was the other issue I had today, just like you. Fortunately I was able to close without saving and it disappeared. I googled the problem, with no luck, I hope you fare better.

Not liking this new Acrobat DC. I find it confusing and condescending all at the same time. I would have called myself a fairly high level Acrobat user but now I can't stand it. I feel like I am playing with a really badly designed kiddies toy. The reviews across the web show me I am not alone. Hopefully they will listen..
