Why does Adobe keep screwing with us?

Recently, Adobe keeps making changes to Acrobat that are not wanted nor are they helpful.

First they forced a new User Interface on us, but only after the fact did they tell us we could disable it!

Now, without me changing anything Adobe (I assume through the miracle of un-asked for updates) removed the plus/minus (+/-) zoom buttons from my menu bar. I asked in this discussion group how to get them back, but the so-called Adobe expert has twice now provided advice that doesn't work.

Why does Adobe keep f_cking with us, making unwanted, and often unnecessary changes? It seems some people there are desperate to keep their jobs and show their worth by ascribing to the 'write new updates or perish' credo, which may insure them a paycheck, but at the expense of screwing us over.
