why does adobe not open the pdf but open the web browser

Question

Adobe works to open secure pdfs but new reader jumps to edge and open adobes web pag but won't open the pdf.

Any ideas the usal of diabling the advanced security and diabling the internet add on sisn't working

As your issue description says, Adobe [probably Reader or Acrobat] doesn't open the PDF, it goes to the web. Would you mind elaborating on it further?

Like, what web page do you see? Can you share the screenshot of the same?
The document you have been trying to view, is it saved locally on your computer?
Please share the exact version of the Adobe application you are working on.
