Why does my Acrobat Reader say Acrobat Pro DC in the header bar?

When I open Adobe Acrobat Reader on my Surface Pro the header bar reads Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. It functions as Acrobat Reader does, not allowing me to do any of the things Pro does.

When viewing the About info. it shows as Pro yet when trying to access a feature of Pro it will not let me and displays the screen asking me to upgrade. This is bizarre! View attached.

FYI - I have not purchased Pro.
