Question

why is adobe reader not letting me open my files?

When I try to open my files it reads, Reder could not open 'Document' because it is either not a supported file type or ecause the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." One of my other coworkers tried opening it and it opened just fine. I have tried updating, but nothing works. Please help.

Sounds like it's missing the ".pdf" file extension. Add it to the file-name and then try opening it again.

First, should we assume it really is a pdf file (what is the full file name)? If so, how did you get it and how exactly are you trying to open it? How did your coworker get it and how did they open it? Just making sure we're all doing the same thing.

What version of Reader do you have?
