That is just bullshit. You make so much money on the rest of the Adobe programmes, so why is this particular option not free? It's not up to you to decide how I present my pdf's in a browser, to give an example. Such a simple thing should be completely cost free. Change it. Thank you.
It is absolutely up to Adobe to decide which features to include in the free applications they offer, and which not to include. If you don't like it, you can ask for a feature change (Feature Request/Bug Report Form) or use another application.
And maybe you should point your displeasure at the application you're using to create the PDF (which is not Adobe Reader)... Why isn't that application allowing you to do it, as the author of the file?
