Wide margins when printing brochure

Question

I´ve a pdf A5 with 4 pages. When printing the brochure all three outer side margins are larger than the inside margins where the brochure is folded even though the margins of the original pages are all equal. How can I get equal margins on all pages in the brochure? Mac OS 10.15.4 Adobe Reader

I think the problem is that Adobe Reader takes the printer margins into account and therefor scales the content down to fit within them. That screws up the margin ratios.

I would prefer an option to print booklets at full scale (disregarding the printer margins). To address the issue of printer margins I leave an empty "safety margin" around the content instead.
