XFA PDF form not working in Google Chrome

Hi guys,
One user in my company is having this issue, she can open XFA files from a government website and Chrome asks constantly to use Adobe Reader version 8 or later in Chrome, the thing is that it has the 15th version installed but is still not working, it opens in the desktop version, but it's require to use the web version since she can attach files to it and send it directly back to that specific web site.

I'd recommend moving away from XFA forms as quickly as possible.

Hi,

What do you mean by moving away? We cannot avoid using it since this is the way in which certain government sites work, so for us is not an option.

If XFA is mandated on you, then you must mandate Acrobat or Acrobat Reader on your users. These are the only apps that can work. (At the moment, Internet Explorer might work, but its days are numbered). XFA is obsolete, but governments are slow to react.

Download the file and open it in Acrobat Reader DC.

The PDF viewer of Chrome doesn't support XFA forms.

Hi Bernd,

And thank you, yes we tried that, but since the reply has to have an attached file to it and the pressing of a button at the end, could this be a problem? We managed to sign in with her company email, in a way to guarantee that the reply will go through, but I'm not sure if it was correct. What would you recommend?

On a Windows system use the Internet Explorer.
