CC libraries panels freezing in Illustrator and InDesign

Hi,

Libraries are freezing in InDesign and Illustrator. This has been happening for around 6 months and affects 3 out of 4 mac laptops in our team.

All apps and creative cloud up to date. Only solution is to quit software and reload, we can only then add another 2 assets to your file before it then freezes again.

I can see from the forums that this is a very common issue affecting a number of users currently.

Is a fix in process?

Creative Cloud info below. All macbooks running Sequoia 15.5. InDesign 20.4.1. and Illustrator 29.6.1

I'm experiencing this too and I'm so tired of these lingering bugs when at the same time they're jamming new AI 'tech' in the software.

I've allowed Libraries to become central to my workflow and regret it more every day.

The day I give up on a fix ever being pushed for this is the day I give up totally on Adobe. If I have to export all the assets I rely on from my CC Cloud Library and set up a new place to manage them, I'm also going to figure out how to extract myself completely from the Adobe ecosystem.

Agreed! The little box that asks me to send reports after a crash is all but useless. The fact that I still have to have both v19 and v20 of InDesign installed in September is absolutely wild. The 2025 launch was so riddled with bugs, and it hardly got any better with frequent updates. Normalize fully vetting and testing software before a launch - even if it makes the intervals a bit longer in between. We're already stuck using the products!

Thanks for your response. We do not have beta apps installed.

We also have no problem with the apps loading.

The issue is that the CC libraries pane freezes when we try to use it more than once, otherwise the app works fine.

We need to use libraries frequently, so have to quit out of the apps to be able to use the libraries again.

Is the only solution to delete illustrator and indesign, clean and then re-install?

I can second this issue. CC libraries pane freezes up randomly for me. Additionally, if I delete an asset from the library, the entire panel becomes blank and won't load any content.
