Batch export PDF to PPT?

Hi all - we have a couple thousand PDFs we need to export to PPT, and I am having trouble finding a way to do that in Acrobat Pro

We've tried creating an Action in the Action Wizard to process multiple files, but this does not work because you still have to watch each file convert and then manually click to execute the next one, going through the same sequence of choosing what to export to and where to save, even though it is the same information every time. There is no way we can find to specify the settings in advance (what to export as, and where to save).

We tried combining the PDFs into a single file to export, but the PDFs are different dimensions so that doesn't export to PPT properly

Does anyone have any guidance? Would SmallPDF work better? Anything would be very, very deeply appreciated!

Hi,

Please find the below steps to export a batch of PDF file to PPT:

  1. Open Acrobat
  2. Go to Tools> Actions Wizard >New Action
  3. Create New Action Dialog opens
  4. Save and Export>Save (Add this to new action and change its settings)
  5. Specify settings > Export File(s) to Alternate Format > Powerpoint Presentation > Ok
  6. Specify the folder having pdf files to be exported.
  7. Save Action with a name.
  8. Now Run the action.
  9. It will save the exported file in the input file folder.

I hope it will solve the issue you're facing. Please revert if you need any more help.

It should be possible to do it automatically using the Action Wizard, but yes, it will open each file, convert it and then close it. There's no way around that, unfortunately.

What commands did you add to your Action?
