Hi all, I currently have a working script that saves the PDF to a fixed location depending on the user input. Everything seems to work, however, if the user adds some digital stamps to the PDF before running the script, the file size increases (the stamps are less than 1mb, but the file becomes > 10mb) and each time they run the script, it will increase the file size two folds (Double) Is there any way to fix this or is there a way to run the optimize PDF or a regular "save as" that doesn't save the overhead from scripting?

After spending an hour on hold and 1.5 hours with a chat rep, he was of NO help. I have a custom sticker and if I rename the document, I want the sticker to pull in the name of the document with NUMBERS.  So if the doc is named 1, the sticker will pull in the 1.  it does not work. it is the Only field that doesn't work!  Someone Puh.leeeeeeze help me ASAP!  Thank you! Here is the javascript that is "supposed" to work but doesn't. Dear Adobe   I require assistance on a script to calculate a new time of a field.    This is a navigation form that requires the user to insert a departure time in minutes, then add more time to that in aseparate field and show the result in the next field.   i.e. Departing at 10:00 (field1) Time to next waypoint = 78 miutes  Passing next waypoint = 11:18  (field3)   I need to calculate field3 and display like that, preferably with AM/PM if possible. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Hello all. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to attach all the files in a particular folder using javascript on the Windows platform. My place of work was always paper driven but with the recent events we have transitioned to an almost fully electronic process. I have already utilized some custom dialogs and dynamic stamps in my workflow (Many thanks to @110714_Parker and @try67. I don't know how many times where I was stuck and it was one of your comment threads which got me back on track . You guys are a great resource.) which I have used to automate a lot of our processes before this pandemic and now the rest of the office is following suit.   My use case is as follows.The Todays work folder is my virtual desk. I keep all my current project files in here. When I am done I  have to attach everything to the main PDF file. The issue is that I do not know what the attached files names will be ahead of time. My client wants to know if we can write a calculation script in a table of From/To boxes to pre-fill the boxes based on whatever is in the "Date of Injury" field (titled injury_field). I believe the last "TO DATE" is the Monday prior to the Date of Injury. And then all the other dates work backward from there. (So each from/to dates need to be Mon-Sun) Example: The injury_date is 04/15/2020. The Monday prior to that date is 04/13/2020 and I want that to auto-populate in the "to date" box once we fill in the injury_date.  

I am creating a set of sequential actions to perform on my PDFs. Things like:1. Adding a Watermark2. Optimizing PDF to reduce the resolution of the images3. Flattening the file4. Securing with a pwd to prohibit editing5. Sanitizingetc... While all other actions work just fine, the optimize PDF doesnt seem to work. Does anybody know how to reduce the resolution to a specific ppi value for all the images in the PDF? If I go to "File/Save as other/Optimized PDF/" it lets me choose the downsample rates etc. Is there a way to add this procedure to an action?  I want to be able to click on one button and run all (above mentioned) actions together for any given PDF. While all other actions worked fine, I couldnt figure out a way to downsample the images automatically. Appreciate your help

I'd like a dropdown field's selection to trigger a read-only text field to appear below it. That text field may need to be multi-line content. Can anyone share how do I do this with JavaScript applied to that dropdown field? 

Hello Community.I have created the attached form. Here you can spawn additional pages using the three grey buttons at the bottom of the first page. There are three hidden templates.Spawning an new page with one of the three grey buttons, takes too long time until the page is available.Second problem is, that the page number is not displayed correctly. Third problem is, that switching language does not work on the spawned pages.Editing the form in acrobat, with all templates are visible, problem 2 and 3 are working correctly.Can someone help me?Thanks ind advance.

What is the best external editor for editing JavaScript in Acrobat DC forms?Free is good for me who is poor man. Thank you for your advice. 

I'm creating a fillable form for a customer who is trying to track "eligible" days in a given month. This is hospital related information, so the client wants to be able to have a field where they enter a date, example 04/02/2020 (date of admission) and then have a field at the bottom that automatically calculates the number of days left in the month (eligible days), as those admitted to this facility will receive this particular coverage until the end of the month. The date of admission also counts as an eligible date.  I've tried a few codes, but everything that I know to do requires you to enter an "end date" so to speak and then calculates the days between. Is there something that will allow the field to pick up the month that's entered into the admission date field and then calculate the number of days left for that particular month...similar to how Excel works? The only other thing I know to do is to create an extra field so the last day of the month can be entered and then

Hi Everyone, I have a field that asks the user for a full address to be typed in. I'd like to add a button that, when clicked, launches the default browser and performs a Google Maps search of that address. Or, at the very least, a Google search of that address.  Is there a relatively easy script that can be applied to that button?

I am trying to create a form with a set of radio buttons.  I want the RB for the "True" answer to fill in (the background of the RB) green with the checkmark, the RB for the "False" answer to fill in red.  On screen it looks like it perfect.  However, when I print it, every RB shows the background color regardless of whether it's been selected or not.  What did I do wrong or what do I need to add?

I am reading text from a table. Is it possible to understand that the characters being read are in different cells of the table?

I have a form with fields that have been filled using Excel VBA.  I want to lock the form down using Excel VBA code (more than just setting the form fields to read only).  I have found two manual solutions:  1) Set Document Properties to Password Security and restrict editing assign a password and not allow any changes.  2) Print my completed form selecting Adobe PDF as my Printer. I have not been able to find a way to code either of these options.  I would greatly appreciate help with either approach and/or some third option that achieves the same goal of a completely locked PDF generated using Excel VBA.  Thank you!

UPDATE: I don't believe there is a solution to this. I ended up changing my scripts and eventually hit a coding solution that worked through a save/open. I have no idea which change "fixed" the form. Oh well. ------------------------------ I used Acrobat Pro DC 2015.006.30508 in Windows 10 to create a form that has 40 fields with custom calculation JavaScript. When I finish creating it and run it, it formats and/or populates 120 fields in about 12 seconds. When I save, close, and re-open the form, the form slows to an unusable crawl.  I have to kill Acrobat from the task manager. It also kills Acrobat Reader 2017.011.30156. I have done this three times, now, and taken video evidence.I work for a big company so neither I nor my users can update Acrobat or Reader. The form works perfectly in FoxIt reader, and takes only 1.5 seconds to populate the form, but that, too, is not an option for my users. I need these versions of Adobe products to work.Help! What do I do?!

I have a PDF form I am trying to populate information the same way I already got it's matching spreadsheet to do. I just have no idea how to translate that over to the PDF. Both the PDF and the .XLSX are atteached. Basically the form has 2 columns, Primary and secondary. The primary is user input, they put a value in each field in the column. Each line is labeled 1-20 then continues with A-LThe secondary column matches up certain ansers from the primary column and puts them together in each line. The secondary column notes 3-5 primary column fields it needs to grab that info from. Example, line 1 has it's primary field, then in the secondary column it notes A,B,C indicating that that field should have the answers from the primary fields of A, B, and C. I know nothing about Javascript, but it's become obvious to me that's the only way to do what I want. Would you guys be able to help me with a formula I can plug the appropriate field values into?

Let me start by saying I do not know any coding at all. I'm new to Adobe Pro and I'm trying to create an Adobe form that will be used as a timesheet. The form will have multiple fields where the user needs to enter total hours worked in a day (one field for straight time, another for overtime, another for comp time, etc.). I want to limit the fields to only accept numbers between 0 and 24 in increments of .25. So for example, 8 or 8.25 or 1.5 or 2.75 are all acceptable. If an invalid number is entered, I would like an error message to pop up saying to enter time in increments of .25 and the field to reset to blank. I found code on the internet that worked beautifully but would require me to code every quarter increment between 0 and 24 (including variations such as 1.5 and 1.50 and 2 and 2.0). And the one form has 77 fields (bi-weekly timesheet tracking straight time, OT, Comp Time, vacation, sick, etc.) - I would imaging having 77 fields with that extra long code would just cause

Hello. I'm creating a stamp. The stamp directly shows a form to collect some user data text. In addition, I  want that stamp has a image (it's a signature scanned) of the user. I'm trying to create a visible character counter that has a default start of 1. Currently, the first letter I type displays as 0. Hi, I am trying to develop an incremental dynamic stamp for Adobe Acrobat. I have seen codes of different people from the internet and tried to modify them but they mostly work on the same document. When I stamp, on the next document, they again ask for a starting number and it is of no use for me. Is there anyone who have developed the stamp or can help me understand the way I can do it by myself.
