Hello Adobe Geniuses! I have a group of radio buttons:Button 1Button 2Button 3The group's name is radioButtons I have a form field:myFormField If a user chooses Button 1, I would like the text in myFormField to change to "Button 1"If a user chooses Button 2, I would like the text in myFormField to change to "Button 2"If a user chooses Button 3, I would like the text in myFormField to change to "Button 3" How would I do that? Scott

I was in Acrobat Pro DC trying to align some objects and it wasn't working as I'd expected. When I hovered over it it stated distribute vertically (see screenshot, right side), but I'd come to know this as distribute horizontally by center point  as in Illustrator (see screen shot, left side); what is up with this? Illustrator's model of the graphic icon the essentially the same (side-by-side objects insinuating 'things along a horizontal line' - with lines at their center points) seems accurate to me. Why is Acrobat ProDC calling this Vertical? Thanks for any clarification.

HiI have a weird issue with my acrobat plugin.Acrobat/my plugin is in a server.My plugin is loaded for some users ("Currently in Certified Mode" shows as  No in Preference)but not for some users.  ("Currently in Certified Mode" shows as  No)Changing the option “Use only certified plugin-ins” doesn't work for those users.Acrobat License can limit loading thirty party plugin?Any idea on this issue? Thanks in advance.Jason  

Hello, IT guy for a small company here. I'm sure there is a very simple explanation for this. Our business uses a Bill of Sale in pdf format for all of our dealings, recently its come to my attention there is a single line that is off in the calculation, and all I need to do is add one more field to the total cost calulation, but anytime I make ANY change to the file and save it, it no longer populates the Total amount of sale. I was making a simple javascript addition to the text box, to make sure it adds the sum of 6 different text box's to my total cost. But as soon as I add the +text field130 to the existing script then save, my last text field "total cost" no longer populates.I even tried just changing a random letter in the file and then changing it back to what it was, just so i could save the file. Once I did that, it still no longer populated. Help?

Hi Guys, I am very new to Java Coding and trying to do as much as I can without help.I have a form with multiple dropdown boxes, each dropdown has 5 options Strongly Agree, Agree, Neither Agree or Disagree, Disagree and Strongly Disagree. Each option is assigned a number between 0-4. All the boxes are then added to give a score which will give a discription. The problem I have is that the form is adding each field as I go and taking time. I want to add a button that you press when the drop down boxes have been completed to perform the calculation.The field the calculation will go in is called "Your_Risk_Score". I have form of 12 rows, each with the following calculation in a field 'CD#Result' (the first two letters of the fields change per row).  "A" is a single field and "B" is a total of three other fields, that when compared to A determines what is in 'CD#Result'.   It works almost perfectly.  However, I realized I have a problem if the user changes their mind.  If they make any entry in A or any of the three other fields and then delete those entries, the Result field does not clear.  I used the validation script to hide any 0 total in the 'CD#MoTotal' field to get a blank, but can't figure out how to do that in the Results field, or how to add to the calculation below. What I want is that if both 'CD#Expect' and 'CD#MoTotal' are blank, then the 'CDResult' should be blank too.TIA for your help! var A = this.getField("CD#Expect").value; // Expected Activity for period reviewed;var B = this.getField("CD#MoT

I have a file that has serveral pages. At random intervals there are pages that have the words "PageBreak". Looking for a script that will search my file from the begining for the "PageBreak" then extract all pages before and including the pagebbreak, then continue through the rest of the file repeating that same process until all pages have been extracted to new files. I have attached a file. On the file pages 1 and 2 would be extracted to a new file, then pages 3-5 would be extracted to another new file and so on. can anyone help?I have looked through the community board and did not find anything that can help me with this.

I would like to know if there is a JavaScript to do the following -  Drop down list = "Fact" or "Opinion"Next to each drop down is a text field called "Dislike1" which is a custom entry by user. (they write what they dislike and then use the dropdown to identify if it's a fact or opinion)If they select Fact for Dropdown1, I would like to replicate "Dislike1" in another text field. If they select Opinion, I would to replicate "Dislike1" into a different text field. The goal is to build a separate list for Facts and a separate list for Opinions, each on separate pages, without user having to retype their Dislikes. Since the lists would build, then the text fields would have to be variable (if they choose Fact 3x in a row, then those text fields go to the Facts page, then if they choose Opinion in the 4th row, that would have to be the first text field on the Opinions page). This may not be possible...but??? Often whwn i try to open pdf files with Acrobat 9 that has been registered in 2013, the files are visualizzed al in grey.  Can somone help me PLEASE? i have to open them always with Acrobat 8.

There's a preference "Use external JavaScript editor". For the life of me, I can't get that to work. I set it to a text editor, and Acrobat opens the right document into it. But Acrobat sits there hanging. When I save, close and quit the application, Acrobat still sits there hanging. I have to Force Quit every time. I've tried each of the editors I have laying around - VSCode, Brackets, Atom, LightTable... even TextEdit.Am I doing something wrong, or is this feature broken?

I have some listboxes whose items are filled in by a script and/or via a CSV. 1. I would like items containing "T*T" to appear at the top of the list, sorted alphabetically. (As this word is censored by the forum I wrote it "T * T", you can see it on the screenshot)2. I would like items containing "ADE" (and not containing "T*T") to appear next, sorted alphabetically.3. And I would like all the other items to appear after, sorted alphabetically.   See screenshot: white list is the current, yellow list is what I want. Is it possible?  

I want to create a Button to automate a task for me. When the button is pressed in duplicates the infomation that has been entered . So the form is filled in and TextField 1 at the press of a button populates TextField 2 .does anyone know the code to do this or could point me in the right direction on how to learn to do this? 

Hi All, Let me start by saying I have very little experience using adobe and even less experience writing javascript code. I have a pdf form with many different check boxes on it, and I was asked to create a button that will allow the person filling out the form to do so via popups.For example, there is one checkbox for a statement that says something like "2+2=4", another that says "2+2=5", and a third that says "2-2=0". I would like to create a button that opens a popup which askes the user if 2+2=4. If the user hits yes, the check box becomes checked off. If the user hits no, the check box does not get checked off. Regardless of the users answer, I need another popup to open after the user imputs their answer into the first (and it disappears). So after the user clicks "yes" to "does 2+2=4", the checkbox will populate, the popup will close, and another popup will open and ask "does 2+2=5" (and then answering this question will do the same thing as the previous). And so on

Hello,I'm a total rookie with Adobe Pro and I'm trying to figure out how to add javascript to my fillable pdf form.  More specifically, I have about 100 dropdown menus each with the same items to select: "1", "2", "3" and "4".  I hoping there's a way to incorporate javascript to  each dropdown menu that would change the background color depending on which item is selected.  i.eIf "1" then background to redIf "2" then background to yellowIf "3" then background unchanged or whiteIf "4" then background to green Is there an easy way to do this? Thank you!

I write reports for legal claims. As part of my report I need to create a single pdf with all of the documents I cite in my report (typically this is in the 100-200 document range). Each of the documents needs to have information about the document in the headers and footers. This includes the source information about the document - that is, where is the document from (for example, an archive name, a file number, and a date). I have figured out how to do this by manually copying and pasting the information into the footer, but since I have an excel spreadsheet with this information, I would prefer to have the computer automatically match the PDF to the source information and create the footer. I am willing to spend some time to learn how to do this - I assume I need to use javascript - but I am having trouble locating either a specific course or book that covers this.
