I have Date and Time Start "DT1SI have Date and Time End  "DT1EI want to DT1E - DT1S and show the result as decimal hours rounded to 1 decimal point as in XX.xI am using Adobe Pro for Mac on my MacBook Pro using High Sierra.I have it done on my Excel version of this form, but I want to create a Fillable PDF version of the form and I have searched high and low on how do do this in PDF.In Excel it is simply =Round((DT1E-DT1S)*24,1) with the result field formatted as a number to 1 decimal place.Hope someone can make it that easy for me in PDF using "Simplified Field Notation" or last but not least "Custom Calculation Script".

Hi,I have a pdf document with 1000 pages.800 pages is in colour, 200 black and white and I wish to reduce colour pages to 500 pages.I have a list of selected pages that need to be in colour and I also have a list of pages that should be black.There is an option to convert colours in Adobe but there is no way to paste a list of pages and you can not select thumbnails neither and then convert.You can only give a range page 1-1000 for example or give a single page number but you can not ask for conversion of pages for example: 3,5,7, 25, 80, 500 and convert them all in one go.I heard that Java could handle such a task but unfortunately I can not find good example.If there would be some plugin being able to perform such task that would be great!Thank you for your answers.

Hi,We encrypt PDF files using custom security handler. One of our customer is unable to open the encrypted PDF file with Acrobat Reader DC 2019 latest patch 2019.010.20064. If customer downgrade to previous patch 2019.008.20071, everything just works fine.PDDocOpen() API throws this exception "Bad Parameter" - error code 1073741827 = 0x40000003 = genErrBadParm.Our customer security handler is written in C++.The issue only occurs at customer location and we are unable to reproduce locally. Hello.  I am attempting to have 3-6 different text fields automatically populate with pre-determined information based on the user's selection in a drop-down menu.  For example, my drop down will have Red, Blue, Green, Yellow.  If the user selects Red, then Text1 will fill in Apple, Text2 will fill in Fire Truck, Text3 will fill in Rose and Text4 will fill in Tomato.  If the user selects Yellow from the Drop Down, then Text1 is banana, Text2 is sun, Text3 is also banana and Text4 is lemon.  I know it involves JavaScprit, but to be honest, I'm a novice when it comes to that.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm using the fontWeight method to try to set the font of a text field to bold.I loop through all the fields, and let's say the field I'm looking to make bold is called "Number":loop{get name //cFieldNameget field of name //oFieldif(cFieldName == "Number"){oField,fontWeight = 700;}}in the javascript API manual it says fontWeight 700+ is considered bold, but when the script runs without errors, it doesn't change the font weight at all. I'm editing fontSize and textFont in the same script and they work, so it's not a question of the structure of the script, I don't think.

So let's say I have multiple instances of a text field, three in this case, all titled "Insert Date".I can see when I'm in the "Prepare Form" page, that the fields have number identifiers on them once there is more than one of the same namei.e.Insert Date#0Insert Date#1Insert Date#2I'm running some javascript script to set the font size of the field in question. I loop through all fields and set an if statement for fields named like the ones above:loop{getname // works as it should call this cFieldNamegetfield of getname  // works as it should call this oFieldif (cFieldName == "Insert Date#0"){oField.textSize = 10;}}Unfortunately this sets the text size to 10 for all 3 fields, not just the specific one (Insert Date#0). It seems I'm not actually referencing that individual field. I absolutely need the field name to be the same. What can I do to achieve this?

Is it possible to code a field to log each time a user saves changes or edits the fillable form?

I have been given a task to add a plugin in Acrobat. There will be an icon in toolbar and clicking on that will open an explorer. When user select some text from pdf document then a context menu should open with some options in it. And when user picks an option then selected text becomes the part of explorer. All the selections that user will make becomes the part of explorer in a tree view structure. Once user save the pdf file then it should be saved somewhere in header so that when file is viewed the Adobe Reader then all the selections remain visible in the form of tree view.Can I create a plugin that contains above mentioned features? If yes then what should I read?There are so many things that I need. I have started to look into samples that are provided with Acrobat DC SDK and able to run those with Acrobat. I am trying to add two fields for a sum in a third field, but only if the 2nd field is a positive number. The two fields I am adding are: “Total Hotel Expenses” and “Total ASP Less Per Diem” to come up with a total in the field “Total Expenses Due”. But if the “Total ASP Less Per Diem” is a negative number then I want it to add it as 0. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated…Thanks Patrick

Hello everyone! I could use some help with a PDF document script.Let me explain my document a bit...I have a Weekly Checklist for my management team and it's formatted as a PDF Form. It's about 19 questions where the manager has to chose either "Yes", "No", or "N/A" from a drop down box. Any response that would be an exception from the acceptable answer requires an explanation in the comment section text field. Example: For Question 1, if the manager selects "No" when it should be "Yes" they are required to explain why in the comment section. Once all of the questions have been answered, I have a Email button that currently only checks to ensure the name and employee number is present. Once that's validated (whether it's there or not) a dialog box opens that would allow you to send the document to me as a PDF.
