Hello,I am a bit of a novice when it comes to using javascript with PDF forms. I have some experience with VBA. I've reached the limit of my understanding I came across a form that has a shaded box on a page that changes colors when all of the fields are successfully validated, along with a message that says, "Valid" or "Not Valid" with a color change depending.My question is, what is controlling the location of this box? Why is the output displayed in the dimensions displayed, and in that specific location?Here is a link to the copy of the document.​ (Page six)Thank you for any suggestions.

I have created a PDF that I want to distribute to people to complete.  Once they complete the form and hit submit I want the completed PDF to be sent back to me as an attachment in an email.  Is this possible?

hello,i need to find out the original color-profile settings (us web coated, fogra etc.) of a pdf file that was exported directly from adobe photoshop. i was not able to find this information in the document description. the preflight setting itself is set to "fogra" which seems to be the default setting and not the original color profile the pdf-file was created with. anyone got an idea where to find the original color profile information?thanks,matthias

After a migration from win7 from win10, my team do not know how to execute the script anymore. Here is the script I want to execute, it should append another PDF to the end of document and send a mail (I did not write it) : https://justpaste.it/61gxj .From what I understand from google, I have to put this script in C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\Privileged\10.0\JavaScripts to be able to execute trusted methods/functions. Then, how do I actually use this function ? Is the path correct ? Hello,I have a PDF form with 33 pages. I want it to work this way:- Every time you fill in the fields of a page, you click on a button to lock that page, and then you move on to the next one.- Sometimes, when you have a specific value entered on the text fields, you click on a button in order to duplicate the page that is already locked and re-enter the needed information. (The button duplicates the page and unlocks its text fields).- A page can be duplicated as many times as needed, and everytime you need to be able to fill in the text fields.By using Javascript, I was able to do all of the above, except of one thing: Once my page is duplicated (using a Template), I cannot predict the name of the new page, thus making it impossible for me to unlock the fields that were already locked on the Template.I wanted to use a For Loop in order to do this, but I am not sure how to insert a variable in the instruction. Good evening, I am trying to figure out why the text fields on my document are going blank.Here's what Im running into:I have a document which has text form fields, and these fields already have text written in them.When I insert another PDF, which also has the same named form fields, (so they can auto-fill with the text in the PDF that's already filled out...)All the form fields go blank, even the ones that previously had text in them.  Is there a way to prevent this from happening?I would like the information to carry onto the new PDFs I insert, from document that has the necessary information.Thank you for your time!

I feel like this is simple, but I need a dropdown that allows users to pick a number from 1 to 15. Then I need that dropdown to display a set of fields that repeats for the number of times they selected so they can input data for each one. Basically, I have clients who have anywhere from 1-15 candidates that all have separate information I need, and I don't want to have 15 sets of field for someone who only needed 2. Please help!

I am currently testing several forms in acrobat that use email submit buttons and after testing several forms I start getting this error:GeneralError: Operation failed.Doc.mailDoc:8:Field AfterMarketSubmit:Mouse UpWhen I restart my computer the errors go away. Is there a way to never receive this error?

dear adobe support,i was wrote some JavaScript with AcrobatSDK used to create one button as an add-on tool, the function is run properly as is.but the problem is when I have to use the button, I should add the "add-on tools" button before we use the JS button.mean while the add-on tools looks like not stable, I've been tried open and close acrobat with more than 10 PC with many different PDF document, and my JavaScript "add-on tools" always unplug from acrobat toolbar after 5-9 attempts to open and close document for views the document.and after 5 times or 7 times i closed the acrobat, the shortcut in the right side  is removed and I don't know why it's removed and I must "add" the shortcut againanyone can help to solve this problem or maybe adobe staff can solve this problem or any suggestion on it? (eg. calling JavaScript Object from C++) or something else.I'll keep looking forward on this issue until this problem is solved,thanks.

Hi There,I have created a form with fields (Mac - Acrobat pro 2019). One of them is a text field (name=serverpath) where people can paste a server path in (is an Apple File Protocol path). Next to that field is a button (name=button1) which needs to open a finder screen with the location of "serverpath".If nothing is filled in, there should be a dialog box saying you have to fill in a path.Does somebody has a suggestion or a solution? Hi, I’m creating a document with multiple forms. I’m having issues with combining the natural mother’s name and natural father’s name in a field.On one form the names are three separate fields so I have named the fields as follows for mom’s complete name: NMFirst, NMMiddle, NMLast.I did the same for the father’s name: NFFirst, NFMiddle, NFLast.On another form there is one field for each parent’s complete name. For the mother I combined all three fields into one, naming that field NMName.Again the same was done for the father, I named that field NFName.Here is where I have run into an issue. Buenas, soy nuevo con Adobe DC y me ha sorprendido el hecho de que no funcione Ejecutar JavaScript en una casilla de verificación, con ninguno de los desecadenantes (ratón soltado, ratón pulsado, etc). Sí funciona con otras acciones, como ejecutar elemente de menú, etc.Pruebo a ejecutar códigos muy sencillos (como alert ("hola"); pero nada).Qué se me estará escapando? tengo que configurar alguna característica? o simplemente en la versión DC no deja ese tipo de acciones en casillas de verificación (javascritp sí me ha permitido en campos de texto).Muchas gracias, y disculpad mi ignorancia.

Is there a way to use JS to create a custom tool set?  I've got all my buttons working and loaded using the user javascripts folder configured for Acrobat DC but I would like to take this a step further and group all those buttons under one tool set.  I can easily create and group them in the interface and export the aaui file but was hoping for a single JS approach.I didn't see anything specifically in the SDK that discussed this in terms of JS.TIA

The TAB and SHIFT-TAB keyboard keys will jump to the next or previous highlight. I would like to add two buttons to the toolbar to do this. Opening the comment pane to click on comments takes up too much display space.What function can be used to perform what TAB and SHIFT+TAB are doing?  I can't figure out how to jump to the next or previous highlight annotation in javascript, or how to get a button to emulate a TAB keypress.

I want to start off by saying that I am not a JavaScript writer... I know the code for printing page ranges, and even the code for printing this page only. But I can't seem to figure out what code to use so that once the button is selected, it will print current (this page) and next page together...?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have five checkmark boxes (1,2,3,4,5) and when any of the boxes are checked, I need that value of the checkbox to be added to a text box. Is there a script that can do this and separate the values with a comma?
