Hi, I am trying to deduct the number of days from two calendars i.e. TodaysDate - OriginalDate = TotalDays iI am looking for the java script, thank you.

I'd like to change the current values of 12 numerical text fields on the mouseup of a button. I've tried defining variables and saying the variable value equals itself + or - the change, creating a temporary variable and assigning a value to it and systematically changing the values of each, creating  functions, etc. Here's my script worksheet with everything I've tried. the last has a document level function. I'm not a java guy, but I've gone over the internet threads and couldn't find the exact fix to my problem. I'm using acrobat pro dc. I'm using a text field formatted to number with the following calculation:(A+B+C+D)/4 in the simplified field notation.I now need this calculation to always round up to the highest integer. Here are a few examples:12.1=1312.5=1312.9=13etc.From what I've read, everyone says to use Math.ceil(); however, I cannot enter an actual number with Math.ceil() since I don't know the numbers because it's calculating them based on user input from other fields.I believe it has something to do with inputting the following math equation:( x + y - 1 ) / yI just don't know how to implement it. Also, does it matter if I have number set to 0 or 2 for decimal places if I'm just looking for the higher integer?Any custom calculation or validation scripts I can use to fix this? Thanks!

Hi. I have created a form in Acrobat Dc using form fields to input data, then finalised by initiating an actional button to make content 'read only' which was configured using a java script with mouse up action. This form is saved in an EDRMS as a template to allow the end user to raise automatically in their respective folder to submit for approvwl. When tested by a user that has adobe pro dc installed this works well and releases automatically once the form is completed and made read only by iniating the button. However if this action is completed by a user that only has Adobe reader, the form will launch another 'save as' window which will require saving the form through navigating back to their folder to save, even though the original form (generated by the template) is still in edit mode. Hi - I'm new here. I usually just google when I can't figure something out but I can't find a close enough scenario for me to figure this out. I'm not a pro at java or scripting - I'm self-taught; this is how I learn - so bear with me.i have a form that calculates mileage reimbursement amount (miles multiplied by reimbursement rate) but I want the user to select a radio button for either "regular" or "relocation" because the reimbursement rates are different for each. How can I get the subtotal field to use the reimbursement rate related to the corresponding mileage type?I'd appreciate any ideas.

I have been searching the forums for hours but cannot find a solution for this, which seems like it would be more simple than much of the questions I have been looking at. I do not have much experience with running scripts in Acrobat, but I am willing to learn. I have seen many forum answers referring to "LiveCycle", but I don't think I have that. I'm having this weird issue saving documents.  I have about 50 .rtf documents that I need to convert, now If I open them in Adobe they will be automatically converted to .pdf, but whenever I use my javascript line to save them to my folder, they are saved as As34d1.tmp.pdf, I'm confused as to why it's doing that, I want to save the .rtf document I opened and converted as the same filename? I have a button where Ive set the action to submit the form followed by an action to clear the form fields. Is there a way to make the clear form fields conditional upon the 'submit' action actually happening (when required fields aren't filled the submit button fails but then clear the form as well!)

I am creating buttons on a page based on if a layer exist or not. Not all layers will be in every document. I have a field with JavaScript actions. When I "duplicate it across pages" the field is duplicated, but the duplicates have no actions.If I could make the duplicates read-only, that would be fine, but that property would then apply to the original field, which is not fine.I guess I can add actions to the duplicates but there's a lot of them. And maybe I can't, anyway. Haven't tried!Any suggestions or comments? Thanks!

Hello,I am currently trying to compile chemistry past papers for my students. But the thing is, it's extremely difficult to just copy and paste each and every question and then organize them topic-wise. Is there any function where I could just highlight the next block of question and delete it with the del button and then organize them? A script to perhaps make the job go faster? Im new to this program and was wondering if there was an easier way to do this.Thanks

Hi All,I'm in Acrobat DC and I want to have a javascript with an If statement to do the following task. I know I'll need a if statement but I need some help starting it off. I have a two drop down fields. First down I have PointA, PointB and PointC  and Second drop down I have the same PointA, PointB and PointC. Now I have my Third Field box as a number because if I want to select PointA on the first drop down and select PointC on the second drop down then I want my Third field box to have a 4 for distance.So I already know this muchPointA to PointB= 3 milesPointA to PointC= 4 milesPointB to PointC=5 milesAnd these miles will not change because they are already calculated.thanks in advance

I need a javascript for the client to not have to tab to go to the next field. Example; text field limit to one character and when clients enter the character it should go automatically to the next text field. Can someone please help?

Hi all i'm very new to javascript and adobe forms.I have a form in which if a data entry field is not used it is automatically populated with N/A. The N/A in the field is determinned by a calculation in a seperate field we'll call Field1. Depending on the value of Field1 the data entry field is either N/A and read only or the field is blank and the user needs to enter a value. When a value is entered i have the field validating the entry against a range, if its outside the range an app.alert notifies the users.I'm having trouble getting the validation to ignore the N/A. it sees it as an entry outside the range and the alert box appears.In the calculation box of Field1 i haveif (event.value>=3.335){this.getField("Powder").value="N/A";this.getField("Powder").readonly=true;}else{this.getField("Powder").value="";this.getField("Powder").readonly=false;}In the validation of the Powder field i have:if (event.value>Upper || event.value<Lower && event.value!="" && event

My pdf form has 80 fields. Adobe (jso), however, tells me I have 460. Here's the code:   Set jso = PDDocument.GetJSObject   fcount = jso.numfieldsWhen I press 'Tools | Prepare Form', Tab Order view, 80 fields show in the 'Fields' section of the screen.When I press the 'A-Z' button in the Fields section, all 460 fields are listed. Those 380 new items all begin with an underscore and seem to be categorized with a parent and several children. They do seem to parallel the 'real' fields. None of them allow a right click for me to see their properties. What are they and how can I ignore them in my code? Since I am required (without your answer to my question) to cycle through 460 fields instead of 80, I am really bogged down as the 'invisible' ones are processed.BTW, the 'invisible' in the title to this question has nothing to do with the 'hidden' property available with the 'real' 80 fields. These are actually invisible fields that cannot be touched.
