Hello! I am very new to JavaScript programming within Adobe and am trying to pull an external list of strings (format can change, however, pulling from an Excel file would be most efficient) into an Adobe Pro DC JavaScript as an array, in order to search for that list of strings through the PDF. I have the code working so that I can hard code the strings into the JavaScript. Please let me know if you have any direction or can help me with this. I have an archive of about 100 magazines in individual PDF files that I want to distribute, along with with relevant indexes. Each separate issue has bookmarks for its contents and I also have title, author and volume indexes for the whole collection. I want each magazine to include navigation to all these indexes but I'm really not sure I'm approaching the problem the right way.The approach I've taken is to add bookmarks to each magazine before its table of contents: one entry each for of the volume, author and title indexes with the action for each to Open a file. This works when I add by hand but it will take a *long* time to add to every magazine. I've tried Javascript and can automatically add the extra bookmarks but I can't add an action to open a file: it seems all I can do via the JS API is to run a Javascript and I've seen comments that this doesn't work on tablets or phones, and in any case it presumably needs all the recipients to have enabled JS.An alternative would be to c

In previous versions of Windows, I could right click on a file from a directory view and select print.  It worked great.In Windows 10, that option doesn't show up when I right click on a file from a file directory view.  Is there a way to solve this?

Hi Everyone!So today I've just learned about using Javascripts (I'm dropping the .js file into the javascripts folder).  I'm not a professional in any of this and wanted to explain my current setup just for context.  We are a very small company (3 employees) and we have a single server running Microsoft Server 2016.  100% of our customer connect to the server via RDP and run a custom application.  We use a program that allows us to create pdf files in their home folder and then we display the pdf file and allow them to print, save or email it and of course page navigation.  The PDF viewer is really locked down (which is what we need).  We are using an open source PDF viewer which allows us to lock all features down that we don't need.  After coming across this javascript stuff today, I want to know if the following is possible using a "starup.js" script file.  Open Acrobat Reader, hide the menu bar (no, file, edit, view, etc), On the toolbar show

after scanning docs, when I go to file menu and save as, the dialog box is empty.  it was only intermittent, now it is all the time.

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to detect if any other objects within the document have overlapping bounding boxes. not just annotation objects, which i can get the bounding box of, but lines, text etc, from the original document.My goal would be to detect and stamp in a region that was unused that fit the stamps bounding box, and thus not overlapping anything. I'd like to send a PDF to multiple people through email. I have the JavaScript working to send from a submit button, but can't figure out how to CC some email addresses as well. This email address works, but when I put "CC" into it as well it says there is an error. Is there a way that I can CC and send to people at the same time? I'm currently using Adobe Acrobat DC form creator.

As title. It seems more often than not, when I select a page in the API reference site (linked from the current SDK documentation), the page returns an HTTP 404 error. I'm having an incredibly hard time getting started with the SDK, as I'm just not able to find the documentation I need to get things running.

I have a pdf file which can be edited through Adobe Acrobat. Hello! I have a form that maps in information from an outside source when opened.  This form is used for 2 separate functions - the first function is to change a name and the second function is to change an address.  I currently have the address mapped in so when the form opens the address is displayed.  However, i would like that information to DISAPPEAR or become hidden if the checkbox labeled "Address Change" is checked.  I figured out a way to make the previous name APPEAR if the name change checkbox is checked but i can't seem to figure out how to make information DISAPPEAR when a checkbox is checked.  Every code I seem to enter makes the address hidden when the form is produced; but if i check the Address Change checkbox and then UNCHECK it the information appears.  I don't want that.  I want the info to be there automatically unless that box is checked.  I'm semi new to creating forms and have 0 background or training with JavaScript (minu

I have a document with 48 drop down lists (same info on each).  The dropdown lists are each named individually (PayTypeDesc Job1Emp1, PayTypeDesc Job1 Emp2, PayType Job1Emp3 etc.)  I would like each dropdown list to autopopulate to a separate table below where I named each text field  PayType Job1Emp1, PayType Job1Emp2, PayType Job1 Emp3 etc.   For example, dropdown list named PayType Job1Emp1 will autopopulate to field named PayType Job1Emp1, then dropdown list named PayType Job1Emp2 will autopoulate to Job1Emp2 etc. When I entered the following script it worked on the first line but it didn’t work on the second one and I have another 47 to go, I just can’t seem to figure out how to make each one do it’s own individual purpose.  Do I have to give each one a different Script Name and if so what do I name it?I followed what is on this website which is how I got the script below https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/change_another_fieldUnder dropdown Properties
