Hello everyone, I was wondering, is there a javascript that I could use to that would show and tell the user that they didn't click different button? And, if they have clicked the button it wouldn't show the alert. It's just kinda a reminder to click the other button. Can it be done? If so, can you share the script? Thanks.

I have a Drop Down (Drop Down 1) with 3 options - "Yes", "No", and "SELECT YES/NO"I am using this because I think it will be easier to manage that Radio Buttons or Check Box groups for Yes/No.1. How do I "reset" the Drop Down to have no selection - so I dont have to use a "SELECT YES/NO" type of field. How do I get that drop down to just be Blank by default, until the User selects something?2. Based on the output value of the Drop Down, I would then like a series of 10 more Drop Downs to be Required. If Drop Down 1 is Yes - then 1 Text Field is Required, and 10 additional Drop Downs are Required - and the from cannot be Submitted using a Mouse Click Submit action until all 10 required Drop Downs are populated. If Drop Down is No - then 1 Text Field is not required, and 10 additional Drop Downs are not required - and the form can be Submitted using Mouse Click Submit Action. I can compile the BasicPlugin just fine.Now I'd like to add libraries, namely <vector>. But doing so will result in the error `fatal error C1189: #error :  The C++ Standard Library forbids macroizing keywords. Enable warning C4005 to find the forbidden macro.'. Hello,I have a 1 page PDF form which I have set to be a template. I have added in page numbers up in the top right of the header (page 1 of n). I have also added a button that when pressed will execute the following code:var t = this.getTemplate("Template");t.spawn(event.target.page + 1, true, false);The problem is when the button to duplicate the pages is pressed the page numbering remains "Page 1 of 1" on both of the pages.Is there some code I can add to the button that will tell the page numbering to update after I have added the button is pressed and the new page added?Cheers,Seb.

So here's the deal I need to write a javascript that displays a number in a text box based on which checkbox is checked so basically:Text box 1 must display a number from one of the following lines depending on which Checkbox is CheckedThe numbers are for reference only and would be whatever the user entered in that field.(Checkbox 1)  16(Checkbox 2)  21(Checkbox 3)  3(Checkbox 4)  7If there is a video or something that can be referenced I'm super new to this and appreciate the education

Hi,We have a program called BarCodePrinter2 that recently stopped working, in order to fix it we need to know where we originally got it. The program reads a specific folder for one PDF file, cut and pastes it to another folder, renames the PDF by cutting the original name down to 8 characters, and then prints out a barcode based on the newly named PDF. Does anyone know what program this is or have a similar program?Thanks

In acrobat can I make a droplet out of a JS script?  Right now I run some js scripts in an action.  But dont know how to make it a droplet.  I can only make a droplet from preflight profiles.

Within the Acrobat Pro view of a portfolio PDF file, I'm able to right click in the file and select "Create Folder" to create folder hierarchies for organizing portfolio attachments.I'm using Acrobat PRO DC and Excel VBA to automate some interaction with these Portfolio PDF files.  Using the Adobe JSO, is there a way to get a list of existing portfolio subfolders? Or to create new folders?    I'm able to add an attachment to a folder within a portfolio file using something like:Call jso.importdataobject("<1>subfile.txt", "/F/Development/PermFile/subfile.txt")This will import "subfile.txt" into the first existing folder within the JSO's portfolio file. However, this code does not work if a folder does not already exist in the portfolio file. So I'd like to be able to list existing folders in order to determine the correct folder index on the fly.  I'd also like to be able to create new folders/subfolders within the portfolio file.Existing folders don't see

Hello!If this has already been solved, I apologize but was unable to locate (maybe my search terms weren't correct).I have several very large PDF docs (11 thousand pages+) that are for a mailing.  However, the customer did not sort the recipients before export (and after further investigation, they cannot figure out HOW to do such).  The resulting file(s) have recipients with 3 pages, some with 4 and perhaps even some with 5 pages.  These files will need to be printed, and then folded and inserted into envelopes by hand if I am unable to come up with a more automated way of sorting the variable page groups.I believe I have a way to place a bookmark at the "first page" of each recipient -- what I am looking for now is a way to either sort those bookmarks by their page counts (3, 4 or 5) or extract them by page count.  The former is preferred as the later would make a metric ton of files.Any thoughts/ideas/help is appreciated!Message was edited by: Chad Wentzel

I'm trying to draw the annotations of a document without actually drawing the page being annotated. I know there are methods like PDPageDrawContentsToMemoryEx() which draw the page to memory, is there any way to ignore the page, and just draw annotations?

How do I assign a price to correspond with each individual choice? For example, if  choice A is $1.00 and choice B is $2.00, I want the price to be reflected in a "Unit Price" column, based on which radial button they select. I've read a lot of the posts, but programming is very intimidating to me. Any help for a novice?

I have a 1,400 page pdf.  I need to add a 1 page pdf to this document, but with this 1 page added every other page.  So the question is, how can I do this with Acrobat Pro DC?  I had found a JavaScript, but cannot figure out where to place it (and make it execute).  Thank you in advance for your recommendations!

Hello,I do not have the JavaScript extension in my Adobe so I have been getting around that by using the 'Custom calculation script' calculation on text fields. I got stuck recently and could use some help.I wrote the script below for a document I am working on. I needed the selection from drop down menu ("A") to auto-populate text into text field ("Text1"). I used this calculation in the ("Text1") field. I am quite new to using the acrobat SDK, so I am wondering what might be the solution here. I have a website and a database that tracks the status of individual published documents, and things obviously change over time and they were made legacy. Is it possible that I dynamically add a watermark with some text saying "Legacy" or something along those lines by dynamically manipulating the file on a client side script based on say, a js array query pulled from the db?

Hi thereHoping that someone cleverer than I might be able to help me out!I’m designing a form for a client who has issues with users ‘writing over’ previously completed forms to save them time, but this is causing input errors because they dont check all the fields properly.To help combat this, I’ve suggested using a Submit Button which once clicked, makes all the user input fields Read Only, before it submits the form via email. This way, users can still save the completed form for their records, but will need to refer back to a blank template to produce a new form for submission.I’ve got this working nicely using the following script as a Mouse Up event:this.getField(“il”).readonly = true ;However, the problem is that form has some mandatory fields which the Submit function obviously validates before it attaches to email, which is great, but if a user misses a mandatory field they can’t go back and correct it because the fields have now become read only!Changing the order of scripts

Hi,I see there are some posts from a year ago where you write that it is not possible to automte PDF compare.I think this would be a very appriciated option so I wonder if there are any updates regarding this topic?Is there any way to automate the compare? maybe by starting the Reader from CMD with some input parameters?

Hi all,Need some help from someone who knows their stuff...I've got a Interactive PDF that has a script set to a button where it locks certain fields, unless you know the password to make all fields editable. It's the same script that's on this help forum elsewhere. I need to take it a step further however, but I don't know how. I get the general gist of what I need to do, just don't know how to execute it.My problem is my button has two states; a 'Locked' (red) state and 'Unlocked' (green) state. I need to know how to sync up the code so that if you click the button to unlock, then cancel the password prompt, that the button doesn't continue to switch to the 'unlock' state with it still being locked.For example;the button is currently red (locked)you click the button to unlock, and the password prompt box comes upyou cancel that promptthe button then switches to show the green (unlocked) state, even though it is still locked. i have a pdf file which appears to be text in layers and i am trying to highlight various figures in the spreadsheets with the yellow marker pen - unfortunately the document has a 'duplicate' watermark and whenever i try to highlight the text i need it always selects the watermark which seems to be on the top layer - is there a way to ignore this if not can i convert the contents of the page to an image which i can then highlight easily? TIA
