I've been playing around with this for hours and I just can't seem to make it work.I can save directly to a network drive.... and lots of my forms use that functionality.  But trying to save directly to SharePoint is giving me fits.I know that I can manually save it to SharePoint.  But I'd like to put a button on a form that will automatically save to a SharePoint library.Is it even possible to use a javascript trusted function to save directly into a SharePoint library?Thanks everyone!!

I am currently trying to draw a PDF (as well as the text annotations) using PDPageDrawContentsToMemory, but I'm running into problems.This  [https://forums.adobe.com/thread/827380​] thread seems to suggest text annotations will draw if kPDPageIsPrinting and kPDPageUseAnnotFaces are set as drawFlags, but this doesn't appear to be working when I try it. The PDF draws to the screen, but without the annotations. What am I missing here? For example, when I choose the blue color, my field should add 2 to the total, this actually happens, but when I type any value in any other field it adds 2 more to the value of the field that has the code I created (for example), and this should not to happen. Can you help me?

Hello,Can someone please redirect me to an example or documentation to call a VBA Script within Javascript. I would like to set up such that when you press a button on the Acrobat pdf file it runs the VBA code.I would like to send a string of data from a text field in Acrobat into my VBA code and then return the result (text string) of my vba code back into acrobat pro. Hello all,I have searched for this issue and see a couple of entries, but neither of the discussions solved my problem. I take a document that is already a PDF and try to use the "Recognize Text" feature so that I can copy text and paste it into other documents. The feature works, straightens the pages, and makes the text copyable, but it inserts horizontal lines throughout the document.   I have tried everything from different ways to save the document, to canceling "clean up" etc. I don't have a "pre-flight" in my version of Acrobat X Pro, but have tried all the choices in the "Action Wizard" and I also have tried "Optimizing" the document before character recognition, but it still does it.Anyone ever finally solved this problem? I'm used the script below to detect unfilled fields on my forms. It works great however it can't detect unfilled drop downs they are set to be required. If I open a PDF that has no custom meta data under document.info, I can add a new meta data entry by running the following code in the console:this.info.foo = "bar";If I then save the document the "foo" meta data entry persists. However, if I try to delete the meta data entry by running the following code in the console:this.info.foo = null;Right after running this code to delete the meta data entry, if I look in Document properties the entry no longer shows. However, as soon as I hit Save the "foo" meta data entry shows up again. It seems there's no way to persist the removal of metadata entries.Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I'm using the "document will print" action to generate a date & time when the document gets printed. What I'm trying to do after wards using the "document did print" action is return the date & time fields back to an empty state so I don't have to save when closing the PDF.I was heading n this direction...I was just trying to get the date to disappear after printing which I did by placing the following in the "document did print" action boxthis.getField("Time").value = ""this.getField("Date").value = ""BUT i still get the prompt to save the file afterwards...I guess there's no way around this without disabling the save prompt?

Greetings,I am working with a client on a fairly long form for manufacturing process validation.  It's 115 pages and has nearly 4,000 user editable fields.They want to be able to verify when each field has been entered by users.  While we can certainly use signatures to confirm that fields were filled in before the signature, the order in which fields are completed and the time between field completion matters to them from a process management standpoint.My (perhaps simple) question is this:  does Acrobat track the time when a field's content was last updated?  If it does, does it also track the user name? Since it knows what's been changed since a signature was applied I'm hopeful that it's tracking that information internally and I can access it programmatically.If not, has anyone ever used Javascript on the fields to try and accomplish the same thing?Thanks!

I have some PDF files and would like to split them into different pdfs as per the TOC given in the file. Using JavaScript, would like to create an action which can read TOC from the pages it is available upto and then split the files as per the TOC.I am new to JS on acrobat. The point is that a character is supposed to gain different bonuses according to the race chosen (as shown in the human/elf example below). I´m trying to create a java-instruction, that, when I press a button, save the current PDF-form under a nwe name. The name of the PDF will be fetched from a field within the PDF-form.BUT - I can´t get the "saveAs" function to work!I´m using the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.I want to use the java-command because I need to be able to name the new file from a field in the form.I´ve been trying a couple of different syntax:this.saveAs();this.saveAs("file1.pdf");event.target.saveAs();event.target.saveAs("teat.pdf");...I am lead to belive that it is a problem with security, a saveAs or save function might be able to change data on the computer without the users controll. BUT - the command exists - how do I set it up to work?!The form will later be mail to different recipients, where I need the same function to work. I have multiple forms with document level scrips.  I need to find a way to have the document fully open PRIOR to the cripts running.  Is there a way to do this or do I need to copy all my scripts in the Page Open area

If anyone can help with a scenario that I'm struggling with I would be eternally grateful.  I am learning how to write in Javascript but am very new to this.  I'll do my best to describe what is happening and how I'm trying to write the script.  Below is the breakdown:Line "J10" is a sum of 5 lines. Line "J13" is the sum of line "J10" and "J12" ONLY if Line "J10" is greater than 0.  If Line "J10" is a negative number then Line "J13" should return 0.  I've written the script so many different ways I think I've thoroughly confused myself.  At one point, I thought I solved it.  When I enter the number and it gave the result I was looking for on the positive side and then changed the number to a negative but the result from the previous script didn't change but stayed the same.  I want to be able to write the Javascript so if I test it with a positive result it gives the result I'm looking for and if I change the test number to a negative number that

Is there a way to search, highlight, extract, but instead of extracting the entire page, I only want to highlight/extract the sentence or paragraph the term is contained in?I ultimately want to be able to export a "summary" into excel of a predefined set of search terms and pull the surrounding sentence or paragraph so that this exported list contains the context of how the term is being used in the document.Is this possible??Thanks,
