I have pdf document that has a javascript set to allow date to appear when document is printed but hidden when viewing.ASK:  I want to have the words PRINTED ON: appear before the date. Hi,I'm struggling with this; hopefully someone can help.I'm creating a PDF that has some questions that are radio buttons with numeric values on each one. I have designed a pdf form to be used as a questionnaire however it is extremely long and comprehensive and it is not always necessary for a user to fill in the complete document. On the first page of the document I have a list of the different sections of the questionnaire and then if the user checks the checkbox of the sections, then only the pages of the document of those sections gets displayed and the ones that don't get selected, the relevant pages stay hidden. From what I have read, I will need to convert the pages to a template (Which I have figured out that I do under the organize pages tool) and then under the checkbox properties I will need to run a javascript under the actions tab to show or hide the relevant pages. My problem is I have no idea how to write javascripts. Does anyone have a line of code that I could copy into my document and substitute the page numbers (or whatever the case may be) which would give me the desired action on the document? The starting dates are normally always on a Monday. These starting dates represent the date a program begins.B) I also have a field called "weeks 1", "weeks 2"..."weeks 8". This field is automatically populated and contains numerical variables corresponding to each of these starting dates, and lists the number of "business/school weeks forward" for each of these starting dates (in other words, the duration of the program). Each "week" represents a full business/school week, so "Mon-Fri" is one week. For Instance, "16 weeks" means "sixteen Mon-Fri cycles" mapped over the normal calendar days. Hi,I'm trying to create a loop that effectively goes through a folder containing multiple pdf documents. This script is essentially meant to open and extract specific data from each pdf and export it to a single .txt file. I created an if statement with OR but it doesn't seem to be working. Also if line 1-3 are filled in with values and another total value is not null then that counts too.

Is there a javascript that can access "use local fonts" in the Preference window? I want the user to uncheck that option so all the fonts I used in the creation of the form will be used. At this point I just don't want any pop out windows saying, "Helevetica Bold cannot be used" (something like that). I'm trying to figure this out. I thought, all the fonts I selected to use in the form creation would be available. The only thing I can think of is to uncheck the "use local font" option. Any other suggestions out there?

Many users have non-Adobe default pdf readers installed on their computers. Even though I provide explicit instruction about installing the latest Adobe Reader, and that it is required to open and operate our forms, the users default pdf reader is still set to open it even after they install the Adobe Reader program. I include in the instructions how to open the form with the reader too.Sometimes the user does not read the instructions carefully and do not realize that our form is being opened on their computer by their default pdf program. They would then complete the entire form only to realize by the end that it will not work properly.Also, JavaScript can't be used with most other pdf viewers... is there some way to detect that Adobe Reader is not being used to open the form and warn the user up front not to proceed?

This calculator spans more than 1600 rows across 12 columns and out of which 1560 rows are used only for payment/amortization schedule. This part is actually causing problems. Excel sheet is having multi-level nested(to excel's limit) if else largely and some other simple calculations e.g PMT, MOD. I have converted all excel formulas in livecycle javascript and are working fine but the pdf form calculation speed is far from that of excel. Even if we use the short term for loan e.g 3 or 4 years it take time while excel sheet is designed to calculated till 1560 total number of payments and takes no time to calculate all data.I used repeatable subform feature and depending on the total number of payments rows are generated during runtime. Hello, I have been struggling with this for a while and can't find my exact situation out there.How can I hide 2 text fields and 2 checkbox fields based on a particular date range?I have a form that includes a date field,  after a certain date I don't want the fields to be available so I would like to hide those fields. I tried the following, but I don't think I have the date syntax right. I recently learned of the Javascript Console in Acrobat, and am having a lot of trouble figuring out what the error messages mean. I am getting 2 in particular that confuse me.First, no matter what field value I change I get several errors saying:TypeError: this.getField(...) is null1:Field:CalculateHow am I supposed to know what field is being referenced? Shouldn't there be a field name instead of "(...)"? I have over 100 calculated fields, so not knowing where this error is coming from makes my life way more difficult.Separate question for clarification... say fields A + B = C. Hello!I have 5000 + PDFs and I need to make the text size "Auto" for two specific fields in many PDFs and to save them without a prompt. I can't find the solution anywhere. I use Adobe Acrobat DC and the files I need to edit are stored locally.   Here's what I have tried. Can someone edit my script?  It is not resizing the fields and I am being prompted to save each one rather than the "Save" function happening automatically. I have an interesting question. I have an excel sheet that generates a pretty complicated JS script for Acrobat based on a bunch of user inputs in the spreadsheet. I wrote an excel VBA macro that takes this script, opens the desired PDF, opens the JS console, and pastes the code generated code in the console. However, I can't figure out how to actually run this code once it's in the console. Any ideas? Is it possible to make my VB excel macro force Acrobat to execute a JS?So far this is what I have. My code is in column 1, anywhere from 10-500 lines long which is why I did the If statement in the loop to remove blank cells. I am using Adobe Acrobat DC (OEM install on Dell latitude E7470) with Office 2016. Whenever I right click to create PDF with PDF Maker, I get the error message:"An unexpected error occurred. PDFMaker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF"My Office and Adobe are up to date. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both, and I have run acrofix and a repair on Office. I can confirm that Save as PDF, Printer to PDF, and the Acrobat Tool bar for office are all working. I have spent hours trouble shooting this.If this is just a bug with 2016 I need to know so I can stop wasting my time. Anybody have any ideas?Thanks

Here's the quick version of my question. I have an excel spreadsheet that writes a JavaScript script in column A of my spreadsheet based on user inputs. I want to be able to run a vba macro in excel that opens acrobat and runs that javascript. I've already figured out how to open Acrobat using VBA in excel, but have not figured out how to open the JS debugger, paste my code in, and run it.In summary: How can I open the acrobat debugger and run my code using an excel VBA macro?Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks

I have this project that I need to do and I hope you can help me.I need to create a button that when I hover/click my mouse on it, a textbox will appear and people can add/edit/delete texts, and can be multiple lines of text.Pretty much the same as the sticky note/comment tool on PDF, but this needs a more "advanced" approach.Is this possible?Thank you so much in advance!
