Hi, I'm trying to do something very specific that seems to have been asked many times, but much information appears to be out of date in today's world of security precautions. I am trying to create a button on the last page of a PDF document that will allow a user, using Adobe Reader, to save the last page of the document to a separate PDF file preferably under the same folder as the current PDF that it was "extracted" from. In running the this.extractPages() function, I do not believe that a user has the ability to actually execute this function without going through some major configuration hoops to their Adobe Reader. It would be ideal to have the single page PDF open in a new tab and bring up the dialogue box for the Adobe Reader user to save to a location where they want it to be, and that may sound like it’s a bit more "security-minded" in that the script therefore is not saving the document itself. Using:this.extractPages({nStart:5, nEnd:5, CPath:'profil

Hello, I'm wondering how I can create a script that will create a bookmark and then name it with a value in the PDF file. The value is a randomized number that will have the same number of characters. So if the pdf is ten pages, I should have ten bookmarks named with that unique number. After this is done my plan is to be able to split the pdf file based on the bookmark. Unless this can be scripted too but that's for another time. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Is it possible to create a plugin that contains a customized button, when the button is clicked, it would post the file to a web app? I know it's doable to send a message to a desktop application using DDE but not sure about the web app. Thanks for any reply.

I want to Change PDF compatibility 1.7 to t.1 (Abode 3X). I know it can be done form the Optimized pdf  Option when I save PDF. MY Question  I Want this automatically with scripts I have Adobe DC as well as Distiller.

Hello, I asked a similar question some time ago, sorry I could not find it in the forum. I am exporting marked areas from InDesign to PDF. I would like to find these areas and be able to create an annotation. The areas appear in the PDF as a path. Is there a way to itterate over all paths? Thank you. P.

Hi Recently I had a strange issue with recent Acrobat version such as 2021.001.20135.String cast in the following worked fine.---ASPathName asPathName = ASFileSysPathFromDIPath(m_asFileSys, CT2CA(diPath), relativeToThisPath);CString sFilePath = reinterpret_cast<char*>(asPathName );---But it doesn't work anymore at V 2021.001.20135.So I'm wondering why it doesn't work suddenly. Is there any change on API level? If yes, can I get info about what was updated . Anyway I coluld resolve the issue by using  ASFileSysDisplayASTextFromPath rather than string cast something like the below.--ASFileSysDisplayASTextFromPath(m_asFileSys, asPathName , asText);CString sFilePath =  (LPCTSTR)ASTextGetUnicode(asText);--I believe it's right resolution. ThanksJason 

Hi. I am using Acrobat XI, VS2010 to compile wxPlugin in windows10,but the error C1083: Cannot open include file: '../../../lib/vc_lib/mswd/wx/setup.h': No such file or directory occured.I have created the folder "NonAdobeSupport" in Acrobat XI SDK\Version 1\, and the following is "NonAdobeSupport" folder structure.I have installed wxWidgets-3.0.5 , and copied the contents of \wxWidgets-3.0.5\include to \NonAdobeSupport\wxWidgets\win\include, and the contents of \wxWidgets-3.0.5\lib to \NonAdobeSupport\wxWidgets\win\libraries. In the "Guide to SDK Samples" document, it says(1)the libraries directory containing the contents of the lib directory, including the lib/wx/ directory(2) Add header paths for ..\..\..\..\NonAdobeSupport\wxWidgets\win\libraries\mswd\but I cann't find the lib/wx/ directory and the mswd directory. What setting did I make a mistake? Thanks!

Hi I would like to select a radio button from my tab delimited file I am importing. I am creating the tab file from excel so I am wondering what I put into excel to select the radio button. The option in the button Male has the radio button choice male, so I tried 'male' and 'check' in the excel cell but I guess I must need something else?  I also have check boxes to select so tips on that are also welcome! Hi Folks I am trying to find a way to automate opening a PDF form in Reader and import an XML using VBA.  I have been trying with the AcroExch.PDDoc object, but am getting error 462 - the remote server machine does not exist, though I am testing with a PDF file on my local computer.  Any thoughts?  Is there a command line parameter to load an XML file automatically? Thanks.

I purchased the Acrobat Pro subscription to then find out it doesn't work on Microsoft surface pro X. What a waste of money!!! 

Hello.  I am using Acrobat Pro 11.  I have created a few Quantity Text boxes that when they are filled in with a number, there is a Total box that is supposed to show the new total the customer owes.  The problem is the Total Box is not updating when I fill in the number in a Quantity text box.  Total box only updates when you click inside another Quantity Text box and fill it in with a number.  In other words, my Total box is always one step behind.  It shows lower amount than actual.  I was hoping there was a command or java script that forces the Total box to update price data as I enter a number in the Quantity Text box.  Any thoughts?  Thank you in advance.

Recently installed "21.001.20138 Optional update, Feb 15, 2021"Acrobat DC icon color went back to Red, I prefered the Black because I could differentiate with the Reader.Also, I am seeing the "(32-bit)" on the title bar.Any way to remove it? 

I have a Mac running OS 10.11 and an HP Laserjet Pro m401n with 2 paper trays (one letter & one legal). When I try to print a document with mixed page sizes (when there is a group of legal pages) the first page prints fine and the second page prints with space at the top and cuts off the bottom. This appears to only happen with Acrobat.

Comes  out as one single page document instead of correct number of pages. Other pdf prohgrammes make correct number of of pages for print.

Hi, I save my files on Dropbox and work on a Mac OS with High Sierra V 10.13.6 and over the last two weeks, many of my PDF files will not open. The message I get is “because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachmnet and wasn't correctly decoded).” I did not have any problems opening these files before. I have checked for updates and downloaded them for Acrobat, tried to change the file name to .png and also tried to open them in Photoshop and Preview with no success. I hope you can help me.

I purchased  ESD Acrobat Pro 20 STE Win Dec. 13, 2020received link to download and while downloading there suppose to be the option for the product key and it is not there.i keep calling between Adobe and Steples and no one can help.  They just sent one to another. what should i do.it is the student version and it requires to provide them with the student number but it does not say how we can download the info and send it.very dissapointing.
