Hi all,I want to extract PDF text ( along with formatting properties like boldness, underline , etc.) in python. The open source tools that I have tried so far, are not able to do that.I also want to extract images from PDF documents.Does Adobe formally support any such function?

I put the signature fields on one page, but when it gets signed, the signature(s) goes the next page. How do I keep all of the signatures to one page?I am making electronic time sheets that people sign every week. It was a Microsoft Word file that was PDF'd. It is a landscape file with the signatures on the right hand side and the approver signature at the bottom of the page. Thank you.Kim

Hello All, I have a question , When I used the below method it's not able to call the web service, if pdf has 10 images on the pdf and size is 10kb each. I would like to group multiple comments together using JavaScript.  I can do it manually - select objects, right-click, group - but cannot find any data on how to do it using JavaScript.  I would be appreciative if anyone could point me in the right direction on this. I am aware of the current issue with grouped objects not staying together when being moved, but I still need to use the functionality. Thanks!Nick

In my AcroFormI have a date field (DateOfInsp) I have a Fiscal Year field (FY) and a Quarter field (Qtr) I want to populate the FY (yyyy) field and the Qtr field (1,2,3,4) based on the date field The fiscal year for my organization starts 10-1 and ends 9-30 of the following year I am looking for the javascript to do this, or guidance so I can learn myself...I am pretty new and just want to automate my forms as much as possible and provide data validation whenever possible I have seen many posts related to this, but haven't figured it out yet... Any help is greatly appreciated

I have a Radio Button Group with 2 choices(Group1) - a Yes and a No radio buttons. I would like for the color to change based on the which one is selected. When the No button is check, it should be Green and Yes should be white. When the Yes button is selected, it should be Red and the No should be white. I have this currently entered  in the mouse upevent.target.fillColor = event.target.value=="Off" ? color.white : color.red;But it changes both of the buttons. ot the color choice of the button that is chosen. Any help would be appreciated. Hello All, I have a question regarding Image Field(Button). I have 5 image field on the  pdf and I'm sending all the 5 field to the c#, but when I'm trying to save the pdf using c#, I'm able to access the Normal field With the value but not able to fidgure out the How I can map the Image field and Value. Ps: I don't have any issue reading the images or fields, not able to figure it out which field relates which image?As an exmple: I have image and I can set to Image field 5 but In my current document it's on Image Field-1. I don't want to hard code the field name. It should work like normal field: Doc1 Formname: test and Doc: 2form name :testI'm not able to map it correct. Is there any way we can find if image field as value ?  Thanks Regards

Hi there! I have a registration form when the user must select one of three check box options, each checkbox has a different export value. I also have one dropdown list with "yes" or "no" as options, "yes" needs to equal 0 and "no" needs to equal $45.00.I have a text field where I want to calculate the checkbox option and add any "no"selection to it. I'm at a total loss and any help would be grealy appreciated. Thanks!

This error message is coming up after trying to complete the following division equation to create a Percentage (which is formatted to percentage with two decimals):Openended/(Closedended+Openended) in a simplified field notation.I have tried multiple custom calculation scripts that create a null or 0 or blank field because the Openended and Closedended both are formatted to number; however, I continue to get the same error message.

It is not working,  then I added to the Mouse Up event on the Radio Button and still is not working.This what I am trying to do.  Also, what I will need to also figure out is iof the check NO, then I want to initialize the fields to the default value.  I.E. I am examining a PDF document and trying to determine the *earliest* date it could have been created. The original document is lost and the copy has been passed around several times so the file system metadata is useless. Internally in the XMP metadata, there are no data for create/modify dates, but it does list the XMP Toolkit version:x:xmptk="Adobe XMP Core 5.4-c006 80.159825, 2016/09/16-03:31:08 "My question is simply this: When was this version released?  It looks like September 16, 2016 but I cannot confirm this anywhere.  I believe the version release date would establish the very earliest date the PDF could have been created.Thanks to anyone who can help!

I have a javascript running that depending on a drop list selection fills from 2 to 16 fields. Upon another list selection it resets all 16 fields and then repopulats with the new data. The problem I am having is if I try an type input into the form manually in one of the fields.....it deletes as soon as the data is commited ie I hit enter. I was using a do while loop do erase the fieds and the stop(used a for loop as well) and it still erases the data as soon as you commit the data. As soon as I comment out the this.resetForm([ "" + CountA]) code,  the issue goes away, but i end up with any fields not being over written keeping the old data. I've tried using validation, mouse up/down, etc. Gots me stumped.

I have folder level Javascript at 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\Javascripts'. The script at this location executes when Adobe App is opened, and in this script we already have code to add custom menu items. At this point "app.activeDocs" is null or empty.I would like to execute a javascript at Document level so that I can get current 'Doc' object and set Actions (DidSave,WillClose) using 'myDoc.setAction("DidSave", "TrustedCustomSave();");'Also, this Document level javascript needs to be applicable for all pdf documents.version- AdobeAcrobat Standard DCPlease suggest a way to set actions (DidSave,WillClose) on Document load.Any help would be much appreciated.

Created a 2-page form with fields and properties assigned to them in INDD CC, exported PDF, opened PDF in Acrobat, selected "Prepare Form" only 8 of the fields created in INDD were recognized. (All but 1 field recognized on page 1 and none on page 2) Any idea how I can get all of the fields recognized according to the properties assigned to them in INDD?  thanks for any help.

I am trying to create a fillable form.  The program created many text boxes where I want check boxes.  Is there an easy way to convert many fields to a different type?  I found this 2010 answer.  Is there a source for the script or another answer that is free of charge?How do I change a field type when creating a fillable form from an existing pdf? Hello all, I'm not a javascript coder by any stretch, but I do understand coding... I'd like, if someone is willing, to help be with a script that changes a datepicker (dp1) strokeColor based on whether or not it's within 60 days (yellow) or 30 days (red) from today - all using the format yyyymmdd (in the Army lol) For example, today is 20200827 and if the date selected is 20201005 then the border of the date picker would turn yellow... Lastly, a button that would update/refresh the datepicker to ensure it was still accurate strokeColor.. Apologies for not having a working solution, I'm a noob...

I have a user who uses the Approved dymanic stamp.  She had some trouble with her install so we uninstalled and reinstalled it.  Since then, when she uses the Approved stamp, it puts someone else's name on it.  This other user as never used this particular machine and we can't get rid of it.  If someone else does sign into the machine, the stamp is correct.  Others have found an 'Edit Identity' button, but when I right-click on the stamp, I don't have that.  Ideas?  Thanks!
