500 when converting docx w/ AltChunk to PDF

Attached is a word file that has an html file "embedded" in it via AltChunks. When we attempt to convert it to PDF, we get an INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR error:
An Internal Server Error has occurred.; transactionId=02355543-be56-40dc-8225-00d680aa8375
We are taking client-provided html via a wysiwyg editor, stitching them together into a word file. The final step is a PDF export of the word file. Is this a supported use case?
I am able to reproduce this error in our application and also by using the "CreatePDFFromDocx" .net sample project
Any insight you could provide would be very helpful!
